Salactol Wart Paint is a topical treatment for warts, verrucas and corns containing salicylic acid 16.7% w/w and lactic acid 16.7% w/w in a flexible collodion base. This dual-action formula works by softening and breaking down hardened skin while helping to remove the infected tissue layer by layer.

This salicylic acid wart treatment forms a protective, water-resistant film over the affected area, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate and gradually clear common warts and verrucas on hands and feet.

What Is Salactol Wart Paint Used For?

Salactol Wart Paint is used for the treatment of:

• Common warts
• Plantar warts (verrucas)
• Corns

It works by gradually removing thickened, infected skin and encouraging healthy skin to replace it when used consistently.

Who Is Salactol Suitable For?

Suitable for adults, elderly patients and children.

Do not use Salactol Wart Paint if you:

• Are allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any of the ingredients
• Have diabetes or poor blood circulation
• Are treating moles, birthmarks, warts with hair growing from them, or facial/genital warts
• Have broken, inflamed or infected skin

Not recommended for children under 2 years.

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you are unsure whether the lesion is a wart, verruca or corn.

How to Use Salactol Wart Paint

1. Soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes.
2. Dry the area thoroughly using your own towel.
3. Gently rub the surface with an emery board or pumice stone if advised.
4. Apply a thin layer of Salactol to the wart, verruca or corn only.
5. Allow to dry to form a small white patch.

Repeat once daily, preferably at bedtime. Continue treatment until cleared, for up to 12 weeks.

Avoid contact with healthy skin. If accidental contact occurs, wash off immediately.

Possible Side Effects of Salactol Wart Paint

Common or possible effects:

• Mild skin irritation
• Temporary stinging or soreness

Stop use and seek advice if severe irritation or signs of allergy occur.

Warnings and Precautions

• For external use only.
• Highly flammable – keep away from fire and flames.
• Avoid contact with eyes, face and sensitive areas.
• Do not inhale vapour.
• Keep tightly closed after use.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep bottle tightly closed.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
