Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets are pain relief tablets that can provide effective relief from a range of everyday pain and fever symptoms, including:

• Sore throat
• Period pain
• Fever, aches and pains associated with colds and flu

How do Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets work?

Each tablet contains a dual-action formula of paracetamol 500mg and caffeine 65mg.

Paracetamol is a well-established painkiller that also reduces fever. It works by blocking the signals in the brain that tell your body it is in pain and by lowering elevated body temperature when you are unwell.

Caffeine is added to enhance paracetamol’s effectiveness. Research has shown that caffeine can increase the speed and extent of paracetamol absorption, helping provide fast, effective pain relief.

How to Take Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets

Adults and children over 16 years: Take 2 tablets dissolved in water every 4-6 hours as required. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Children aged 12-15: Take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours, and do not exceed the recommended dose.

Do not give to children under 12 years.

Avoid too much caffeine in drinks such as coffee and tea while taking this medicine, as high caffeine intake can cause difficulty sleeping, shaking and an uncomfortable feeling in the chest.

Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets Side Effects

Like all medicines, Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets can cause side effects, though not everybody gets them. Generally, Solpadeine soluble tablets are well tolerated, and only a small number of people have had side effects.

Stop taking the tablets and tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:

• Allergic reactions, which could be severe, lke skin rash and itching, sometimes with swelling of the mouth or face, or shortness of breath
• Skin rash, peeling, or mouth ulcers
• Breathing problems – these are more likely if you have previously experienced them with other painkillers such as ibuprofen or aspirin
• Unexplained bruising or bleeding
• Nausea, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes and skin

Solpadeine Headache Soluble Tablets Ingredients

Active ingredients: Paracetamol 500 mg and Caffeine 65 mg per tablet.

Other ingredients: Sodium hydrogen carbonate, sorbitol (E420), saccharin sodium, sodium laurilsulfate, citric acid anhydrous, sodium carbonate anhydrous, povidone and dimeticone.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not take if you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, or any of the other ingredients
• Do not take alongside any other medicines containing paracetamol
• Speak to your doctor first if you have liver or kidney disease, an intolerance to some sugars, or are on a controlled sodium diet – each tablet contains 427mg of sodium
• If you take blood-thinning medicines such as warfarin and need a painkiller daily, speak to your doctor before using this product. Occasional doses alongside anticoagulants are generally acceptable
• Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to the caffeine content
• If you take too many tablets, seek immediate medical advice, even if you feel well; paracetamol overdose can cause serious liver damage that may not be apparent straight away
• If your symptoms continue or your headache becomes persistent, see your doctor
