About Sudafed Decongestant Tablets

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets contain pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60mg, a proven Non-drowsy decongestant tablets to relieve blocked nose and sinus pressure.  It works by reducing swelling in the blood vessels of the nasal passages, making it easier to breathe.

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets are used for the short-term relief of nasal congestion caused by colds, flu, sinusitis, and hay fever. The tablets provide effective relief from pressure and congestion associated with blocked sinuses.

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and are available in tablet form.

What Are Sudafed Decongestant Tablets Used For?

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets are used to relieve nasal congestion associated with colds, flu, sinusitis, and hay fever. They reduce swelling in the nasal passages, helping to clear a blocked nose and relieve sinus pressure.

Who Are Sudafed Decongestant Tablets Suitable For?

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not use Sudafed Decongestant Tablets if you:

  • Are allergic to pseudoephedrine or any other ingredient
  • Have severe high blood pressure or heart disease
  • Are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them in the last 14 days
  • Have severe kidney disease
  • Have an overactive thyroid

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have mild to moderate high blood pressure
  • Have heart problems or diabetes
  • Have glaucoma or prostate enlargement
  • Are taking other medicines for colds or flu
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

How to Use Sudafed Decongestant Tablets

  1. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
  2. Take one tablet every 4–6 hours if needed.
  3. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days without medical advice.

Possible Side Effects of Sudafed Decongestant Tablets

Common side effects:

  • Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
  • Headache
  • Nausea

Uncommon:

  • Dizziness
  • Dry mouth

Rare:

  • Fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Hallucinations
  • Severe allergic reactions
