About Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray

Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray contains the active ingredients xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg/ml and dexpanthenol 50 mg/ml. It is a fast-acting nasal spray designed to relieve nasal and sinus congestion caused by colds, flu, sinusitis, hay fever, and both allergic and non-allergic rhinitis.

Xylometazoline works by reducing swelling in the nasal blood vessels to quickly unblock the nose, while dexpanthenol helps soothe, repair, and protect the nasal lining from dryness and irritation.

Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and comes in a 10 ml bottle providing approximately 80 sprays.

What Is Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray Used For?

Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray is used for the short-term relief of nasal and sinus congestion caused by colds, influenza, sinus infections, hay fever, and rhinitis. It quickly reduces nasal swelling to restore normal breathing while helping to heal and protect irritated nasal passages.

Who Is Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray Suitable For?

Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not use this product if you:

  • Are under 12 years old
  • Are allergic to xylometazoline, dexpanthenol, or any other ingredient
  • Have high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, diabetes, or an overactive thyroid
  • Have dry nasal inflammation or long-term nasal problems
  • Have recently had brain surgery or pituitary gland removal
  • Are taking MAO inhibitors or beta-blockers

How to Use Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray

  1. Remove the protective cap.
  2. Before first use, pump the spray several times until a fine mist appears.
  3. Insert the nozzle into one nostril and spray once while breathing in gently.
  4. Repeat in the other nostril if needed.
  5. Replace the cap after use.

Do not use more than three times daily and do not use continuously for more than 7 days.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

  • Nasal irritation or dryness
  • Sneezing or burning sensation in the nose

Rare side effects may include:

  • Nosebleeds
  • Palpitations or increased blood pressure
  • Sleep disturbances or restlessness

Prolonged use may cause rebound nasal congestion.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose
  • For short-term use only
  • Avoid contact with the eyes
  • Stop use if symptoms worsen or persist after 7 days
