Ultramol Soluble Tablets contain a combination of paracetamol 500mg, codeine phosphate 8mg, and caffeine 30mg per tablet. This triple-action pain relief medicine is designed for the short-term treatment of acute moderate pain when standard painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen alone have not provided sufficient relief.

Ultramol Soluble works by combining the analgesic effects of paracetamol, the opioid pain-relieving action of codeine, and caffeine to enhance pain relief. The tablets dissolve in water, making them easier to take and faster acting compared to standard tablets.

Ultramol Soluble is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and should only be used for a maximum of 3 days.

What Are Ultramol Soluble Tablets Used For?

Ultramol Soluble Tablets are used for the short-term relief of acute moderate pain such as:

• Headache and migraine
• Toothache
• Neuralgia
• Period pain
• Rheumatic and musculoskeletal pain

They are intended for use when other painkillers have not been effective.

Who Are Ultramol Soluble Tablets Suitable For?

Ultramol Soluble is suitable for:

• Adults
• Adolescents aged 12 years and over

Do not take Ultramol Soluble if you:

• Are allergic to paracetamol, codeine, caffeine, or any other ingredient
• Are under 12 years of age
• Are breastfeeding
• Have breathing problems or metabolise codeine very rapidly
• Are under 18 and have had tonsils or adenoids removed for sleep apnoea

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have liver or kidney problems
• Have a history of alcohol or drug dependence
• Have bowel disorders or prostate problems
• Are elderly or have conditions such as hypothyroidism or Addison’s disease

How to Take Ultramol Soluble Tablets

• Dissolve the tablets completely in a glass of water before taking
• Always leave at least 4 hours between doses

Dosage:

• Adults: 2 tablets every 4–6 hours, maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours
• Children 16–18 years: 1–2 tablets every 6 hours, up to 4 doses daily
• Children 12–15 years: 1 tablet every 6 hours, up to 4 doses daily

Do not use for longer than 3 consecutive days.

Common side effects may include:

• Constipation
• Nausea or vomiting
• Drowsiness or dizziness
• Headache

Less common or serious side effects:

• Allergic reactions such as rash or swelling
• Breathing difficulties
• Dependence or withdrawal symptoms with prolonged use

Warnings and Precautions

• Contains codeine, which can cause addiction if used for more than 3 days
• Do not take with other paracetamol-containing medicines
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine
• May cause drowsiness – do not drive if affected
