About Benylin Children’s Dry Cough Syrup

Benylin Children’s Dry Cough Syrup is a soothing oral liquid specially formulated to relieve irritating dry coughs and sore throats. It works by coating and soothing the throat, helping to ease discomfort caused by tickly or non-productive coughs.

This children’s cough syrup contains glycerol and sucrose, which help soothe throat irritation and provide gentle relief from dry cough symptoms. It is suitable for children aged 1 year and over and can be used both day and night when needed.

Benylin Children’s Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup is supplied as a clear purple liquid in a 125ml bottle and includes a measuring spoon for accurate dosing.

This soothing cough syrup is used to relieve dry, irritating coughs and sore throats. It helps coat the throat to reduce irritation and provide comfort from tickly cough symptoms.

Who Is Benylin Children’s Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup Suitable For?

Suitable for children aged 1 year and over and adults.

Do not use this medicine if:

  • Your child is under 1 year old
  • Your child is allergic to any of the ingredients

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

  • Your child has an intolerance to some sugars
  • Your child has diabetes (contains sugars)

How to Use Benylin Children’s Dry Cough & Sore Throat Syrup

  1. Use the measuring spoon provided.
  2. Give the correct dose according to age.
  3. Repeat 3 to 4 times in 24 hours if needed.
  4. Do not give a double dose if one is missed.

If symptoms do not improve or get worse, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Contains glucose and sucrose which may be harmful to teeth.
  • Contains sodium benzoate and propylene glycol.
  • Contains small amounts of benzyl alcohol which may cause allergic reactions.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
