About Nicorette Fruit Lozenges 2 mg

Nicorette Fruit Lozenges 2 mg contain nicotine 2 mg, a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) designed to help relieve cravings and withdrawal symptoms when stopping smoking. The lozenges dissolve slowly in the mouth, releasing nicotine to reduce the urge to smoke without exposure to the harmful chemicals found in cigarettes.

Nicorette Fruit Lozenges 2 mg are suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over who smoke their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking.

Nicorette Fruit Lozenges are used to help people stop smoking or reduce smoking by easing nicotine withdrawal symptoms such as cravings, irritability, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating.

Who Are Nicorette Fruit Lozenges Suitable For?

Nicorette Fruit Lozenges are suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over who are lightly to moderately dependent on nicotine.

Do not use Nicorette Fruit Lozenges if you:

  • Are allergic to nicotine or any other ingredient
  • Are a non-smoker or occasional smoker

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have heart disease, irregular heartbeat, or recent stroke
  • Have stomach ulcers or inflammation of the oesophagus
  • Have diabetes, liver, or kidney disease

How to Use Nicorette Fruit Lozenges

  1. Place one lozenge in your mouth when you feel the urge to smoke.
  2. Allow it to dissolve slowly over 20–30 minutes.
  3. Move the lozenge occasionally around the mouth.
  4. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge.

Avoid eating or drinking acidic beverages shortly before or during use.

Possible Side Effects of Nicorette Fruit Lozenges

Common side effects:

  • Mouth or throat irritation
  • Hiccups
  • Nausea
  • Increased salivation

Uncommon:

  • Indigestion
  • Headache

These effects are usually mild and related to nicotine intake.
