About Celluvisc 0.5% Eye Drops

Celluvisc 0.5% Eye Drops contain carmellose sodium 0.5%, a lubricating artificial tear solution designed to relieve symptoms of dry, irritated, or sore eyes. It works by forming a protective, long-lasting film over the surface of the eye to soothe discomfort and maintain moisture.

Celluvisc is preservative-free and supplied in single-dose units, making it suitable for sensitive eyes and for use with contact lenses if advised by a healthcare professional. It is commonly used to manage dry eye conditions caused by environmental factors, prolonged screen use, or certain medical conditions.

What Is Celluvisc 0.5% Eye Drops Used For?

Celluvisc is used to relieve symptoms of dry eye, including irritation, burning, grittiness, and discomfort. It helps protect the eye surface by providing long-lasting lubrication.

Who Is Celluvisc 0.5% Suitable For?

Celluvisc is suitable for adults and children.

Do not use Celluvisc if you:

  • Are allergic to carmellose sodium or any of the ingredients

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Experience persistent or worsening eye symptoms
  • Have an eye infection or severe eye pain
  • Have recently had eye surgery

How to Use Celluvisc 0.5% Eye Drops

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
  2. Twist off the cap from the single-dose unit.
  3. Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
  4. Instil one or two drops into the eye without touching the eye surface.
  5. Blink a few times to spread the solution evenly.
  6. Discard the unit after use, even if some solution remains.

Possible Side Effects of Celluvisc 0.5%

Common side effects:

  • Temporary blurred vision after application
  • Mild eye irritation or discomfort

Rare:

  • Allergic reactions such as redness, itching, or swelling

If irritation persists or worsens, stop use and seek medical advice.
