What Is Clinitas Carbomer Gel Used For?

Clinitas Carbomer Gel is used for the symptomatic treatment of “dry eye” syndrome, including conditions like keratoconjunctivitis sicca. It provides rapid relief from the burning, itching, and “gritty” sensations associated with an unstable tear film. Because of its gel-like consistency, it is particularly effective for overnight use or for those who find that liquid drops evaporate too quickly during the day.

Who Is Clinitas Carbomer Gel Suitable For?

Clinitas is suitable for adults and children.

Do not use Clinitas Carbomer Gel if you:

• Are allergic to Carbomer 980 or any other ingredients listed in the tube.
• Are currently wearing soft contact lenses (remove them first).

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Are using any other ophthalmic (eye) medications.
• Experience severe eye pain or significant changes in vision.

How to Use Clinitas Carbomer Gel

1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
2. Remove the cap and tilt your head back while looking upwards.
3. Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
4. Hold the tube vertically and squeeze one drop into the eye without touching the nozzle to your eye or lashes.
5. Blink several times to spread the gel evenly.

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before application and wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting them.
Discard the tube 28 days after first opening.

Possible Side Effects of Clinitas Carbomer Gel

Like all eye preparations, some users may experience:

• Transient blurred vision (very common immediately after application).
• A mild, brief stinging or burning sensation.
• Sticky eyelids or mild crusting.

If you experience persistent eye irritation, redness, or swelling, stop use and consult your optician or GP.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is completely clear after application.
• Avoid touching the tip of the tube to any surface to prevent contamination.
• If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.
• Contains Cetrimide as a preservative, which may cause irritation in sensitive individuals.

Storage Instructions

• Store at room temperature (below 25°C).
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
• Check the expiry date on the pack and do not use after this date.
