What Are Dioralyte Natural Sachets Used For?

Dioralyte Natural is used for the effective management of acute diarrhoea and the prevention of dehydration. When you experience diarrhoea, your body loses significantly more water and essential minerals (electrolytes) than usual. Dioralyte works by providing a precise balance of glucose and salts that encourages the intestines to absorb water more efficiently, helping you rehydrate faster than drinking water alone.

Who Are Dioralyte Natural Sachets Suitable For?

Dioralyte is suitable for adults, the elderly, children, and infants. However, infants under 24 months should only use this product under the direct supervision and guidance of a doctor. Do not use Dioralyte Natural if you:

• Are allergic to any of the active ingredients or excipients
• Suffer from a total intestinal obstruction

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have persistent diarrhoea lasting longer than 24–48 hours
• Are on a low-sodium or low-potassium diet
• Have kidney or liver disease
• Have diabetes (each sachet contains glucose)
• Have medical conditions where your body cannot tolerate certain sugars

How to Use Dioralyte Natural Sachets

1. Empty the contents of one sachet into a glass.
2. Add exactly 200ml (approx. 7fl oz) of water. For adults and children, use fresh drinking water; for infants, use water that has been freshly boiled and cooled.
3. Stir thoroughly until the powder is fully dissolved.
4. Drink the solution immediately. If you are being sick, take small sips frequently.
5. If not used immediately, the solution can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Any solution left at room temperature for more than 1 hour should be discarded.

Warning: Do not use more or less than 200ml of water per sachet, as this will make the solution too strong or too weak, affecting the electrolyte balance.

Possible Side Effects of Dioralyte Natural

Dioralyte is generally well-tolerated and side effects are rare. However, some users may experience:

• Allergic reactions (such as skin rash or swelling)

If you experience any severe allergic reaction, such as difficulty breathing or swallowing, stop use and seek medical attention immediately.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
