About Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops

Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops contain polyvinyl alcohol 1.4% w/v, a specialized lubricant used as a substitute for natural tears. It is designed to soothe the symptoms of dry eye syndrome, such as soreness, burning, itching, or a gritty “sand in the eye” sensation. By mimicking the eye’s natural tear film, Liquifilm Tears provides long-lasting moisture and a protective shield over the surface of the eye, offering relief from environmental irritants.

Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops are suitable for adults and children (under medical supervision) and are available in a convenient multi-dose bottle:

What Is Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops Used For?

Liquifilm Tears is used to provide symptomatic relief for dry eye conditions where the eye does not produce enough of its own tears. It works by lubricating the corneal surface, reducing the friction caused by blinking, and protecting against irritation from wind, sun, heating, or prolonged computer use.

Who Is Liquifilm Tears Suitable For?

Liquifilm Tears is suitable for adults and children.

Do not use Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops if you:

  • Are allergic to polyvinyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients listed
  • Are currently wearing soft contact lenses (the preservative benzalkonium chloride may discolour them)

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are using any other eye drops or eye ointments (you should wait 15 minutes between applications)
  • Experience severe eye pain or persistent redness

How to Use Liquifilm Tears Eye Drops

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
  2. Remove the cap and ensure the dropper tip is clean.
  3. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to form a small pocket.
  4. Hold the bottle upside down and squeeze 1 or 2 drops into the eye.
  5. Close your eye for a moment and blink several times to spread the liquid evenly.
  6. Repeat for the other eye if required and replace the cap tightly.

If your vision becomes blurred after use, wait until it clears before driving or operating machinery. Discard the bottle 28 days after first opening.

If you experience persistent eye pain or a significant change in vision, stop using the product and consult a doctor immediately.
