It acts as a substitute for natural tears, creating a hydrating and protective shield over the ocular surface to alleviate sensations of soreness, irritation, and grittiness. Featuring a “disappearing” preservative system, the gel breaks down into water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, offering the comfort of a preservative-free experience with the convenience of a multi-dose tube.

What Is Xailin Eye Gel Used For?

Xailin Gel is used to lubricate and protect the eye surface when the natural tear film is compromised. It is particularly effective for treating “dry eye” sensations caused by environmental factors like air conditioning, wind, or prolonged screen use. The carbomer formulation ensures the gel stays on the eye longer than standard drops, providing sustained moisture and cooling relief.

Who Is Xailin Eye Gel Suitable For?

Xailin is suitable for all ages, including children and the elderly.

Do not use Xailin Eye Gel if you:

• Are allergic to carbomer or any of the ingredients listed on the pack
• Find the safety ring on the tube cap is broken before first use

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are currently using other eye drops or ointments
• Have recently had eye surgery

How to Use Xailin Eye Gel

1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling the tube.
2. Break the seal by rotating the cap anticlockwise.
3. If wearing contact lenses, remove them before application.
4. Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid down to form a small pocket.
5. Gently squeeze the tube to release one drop into the eye, ensuring the tip does not touch the eye or eyelashes.
6. Blink several times to distribute the gel across the surface.

If using other eye medications, wait at least 30 minutes between applications.

Possible Side Effects of Xailin Eye Gel

Common side effects include:

• Temporary blurred vision immediately after application
• Mild, transient stinging or burning sensation
• Sticky eyelid sensation

If you experience persistent irritation or a change in vision, stop use and consult an optician.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not use the gel while wearing contact lenses; wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting them.
• Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is completely clear.
• To prevent contamination, do not touch the tip of the tube to any surface.
• For external ocular use only.

Storage Instructions

• Store between 1°C and 25°C.
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
• Discard the tube 28 days after first opening.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the crimp of the tube.
