Who Are Orlos Capsules Suitable For?

Orlos is suitable for adults aged 18 and over with a BMI of 28 or higher. It is essential to follow a lower-fat diet while taking this medication to minimize treatment-related effects.

Do not use Orlos Capsules if you:

• Are allergic to orlistat or any of the ingredients
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are taking ciclosporin
• Have cholestasis (a liver condition)
• Have problems absorbing food (chronic malabsorption syndrome)
• Are taking warfarin or other blood-thinning medicines

Ingredients

Capsule filling: Microcrystalline cellulose (E460), Sodium starch glycolate (type A), Sillica colloidal anhydrous, Sodium lauryl sulphate

Capsule shell: Gelatine, Indigo carmine (E132), Titanium dioxide (E171)

How to Use Orlos Capsules

1. Take one 60mg capsule three times a day at mealtimes.
2. The capsule should be swallowed whole with water.
3. Take Orlos just before, during, or up to one hour after a meal.
4. Ensure your daily intake of fat, carbohydrates, and protein is spread over three meals.
5. If you skip a meal or have a fat-free meal, do not take the dose.

You should not take Orlos for more than six months. If you do not lose weight after taking Orlos for 12 weeks, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Possible Side Effects of Orlos Capsules

Most common side effects (diet-related):

• Oily spotting in undergarments
• Oily or fatty stools
• Sudden bowel urgency or increased frequency of bowel movements
• Flatulence (wind) with discharge
