About Drapolene Antiseptic Cream

Drapolene Antiseptic Cream is a soothing and protective treatment for nappy rash, urine rash, and minor skin irritations. It contains two antiseptic ingredients – benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide – which help protect delicate skin from infection while calming redness and soreness.

This gentle antiseptic nappy rash cream forms a protective barrier on your baby’s skin to shield against moisture and irritants. It can also be used for minor burns, minor wounds, chapped skin, and sunburn.

Drapolene Antiseptic Cream is suitable for babies and children and is available in three convenient pack sizes:

  • Drapolene Antiseptic Cream – 100g
  • Drapolene Antiseptic Cream – 200g
  • Drapolene Antiseptic Cream – 350g

What Is Drapolene Antiseptic Cream Used For?

Drapolene Antiseptic Cream is commonly used to treat and prevent nappy rash in babies. It helps soothe inflamed skin and protects against infection caused by prolonged contact with urine or nappies.

It may also be used for:

  • Urine rash in adults
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Minor cuts and wounds
  • Chapped or cracked skin
  • Sunburn

Who Is Drapolene Antiseptic Cream Suitable For?

Drapolene is suitable for babies, children, and adults.

Do not use Drapolene Antiseptic Cream if you:

  • Are allergic to benzalkonium chloride, cetrimide, or any of the listed ingredients

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if:

  • The rash is severe, widespread, or not improving
  • You suspect a fungal infection
  • The skin becomes broken or infected

Avoid contact with the eyes. For external use only.

How to Use Drapolene Antiseptic Cream

  1. Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
  2. Apply a thin layer of cream.
  3. For babies, use at each nappy change.
  4. Wash hands after application.

If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

Possible Side Effects of Drapolene Antiseptic Cream

Like all medicines, Drapolene can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects:

  • Skin irritation or redness
  • Allergic skin reactions
