About Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine

Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5 mg per 5 ml, a cough suppressant designed to relieve persistent dry and tickly coughs. It works by calming the cough reflex, helping to reduce the urge to cough caused by throat irritation or colds.

What Is Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine Used For?

Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine is used to relieve dry, irritating coughs by suppressing the cough reflex. It is suitable for coughs caused by colds or throat irritation where no mucus is present.

Who Is Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine Suitable For?

This medicine is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Do not take Robitussin Dry Cough Medicine if you:

  • Are allergic to dextromethorphan or any other ingredient
  • Have liver disease
  • Are taking or have taken MAO inhibitors or SSRIs in the last 14 days
  • Are under 12 years of age

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

  • Have a long-lasting cough or cough with fever, rash, or headache
  • Have asthma or breathing problems
  • Have kidney problems
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

How to Use Robitussin  Medicine

  1. Measure the dose using the provided measuring cup.
  2. Take 10 ml up to four times daily.
  3. Space doses evenly throughout the day.
  4. Stop use and seek advice if symptoms persist for more than 7 days.
