Each sachet contains 3.5g of Ispaghula husk, a natural fibre that works gently with your body to increase fibre intake, helping your digestive system function more efficiently without causing undue straining or urgency. It is suitable for those requiring an increase in dietary fibre to manage constipation, including during pregnancy or when suffering from haemorrhoids (piles).

What Is Fybogel Orange Sachets Used For?

Fybogel Hi-Fibre is used to increase dietary fibre, helping to relieve constipation gently and naturally. By working with your body, it helps restore and maintain normal bowel function, making it useful for managing constipation during pregnancy or for those with haemorrhoids (piles).

Who Is Fybogel Orange Sachets Suitable For?

Fybogel is suitable for adults and children over 12 years old. Children aged 6 to 12 may take it under supervision.

Do not use Fybogel if you:

• Are allergic to Ispaghula husk or any listed ingredients.
• Have a sudden change in bowel habit persisting for over two weeks.
• Suffer from a blockage of the bowel (intestinal obstruction, faecal impaction).
• Have weakness of the bowel wall (colonic atony) or naturally reduced gut motility.
• Have difficulty swallowing or throat problems.

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Have phenylketonuria (contains aspartame).
• Have undiagnosed rectal bleeding and are unable to pass stools after using laxatives.
• Are taking other medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine, insulin, or thyroid medications).
• Are elderly or debilitated.

Ingredients

Other ingredients: Potassium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, riboflavine sodium phosphate, beta-carotene, aspartame (E951), orange flavour, saccharin sodium, polysorbate 80, and silica colloidal anhydrous.

How to Use Fybogel Orange Sachets

1. Fill a glass with approximately 150ml of cold water.
2. Pour in the required amount (one sachet for adults/children over 12).
3. Stir well and drink immediately.
4. Take preferably after meals, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Important: Do not take without water, as this can cause choking or difficulty swallowing. Take at least 30 minutes before or after other medicines and do not take immediately before bedtime.

Possible Side Effects of Fybogel Orange Sachets

Common side effects include:

• Wind (flatulence) or bloating, especially during the first few days of use.

This product may cause allergic reactions, including difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, or, in rare cases, a severe allergic reaction. If you experience any allergic symptoms or severe side effects, stop use immediately and contact a doctor.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not take without sufficient liquid to avoid chest pain, vomiting, or swallowing difficulty.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or if there is no bowel movement after 3 days.
• Stop using and consult a doctor if stomach pain occurs.
• Contains aspartame (source of phenylalanine).
