Thealoz Duo Gel contains trehalose (3%), sodium hyaluronate (0.15%), and carbomer (0.25%), a unique preservative-free formulation used to protect, hydrate, and lubricate the surface of the eye. It is designed to treat moderate to severe dry eye symptoms, offering long-lasting relief from discomfort, stinging, and irritation caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, dust, dry heat, air conditioning, and prolonged screen time. Thealoz Duo Gel helps reduce healing time and keeps the eyes soothed, making it especially beneficial when applied just before bedtime.

What Is Thealoz Duo Gel Used For?

Thealoz Duo Gel is used to relieve moderate to severe signs and symptoms of dry eyes, including burning, stinging, foreign body sensations, and irritation. It works by hydrating, lubricating, and protecting the eye surface. The addition of carbomer ensures the gel stays on the eye’s surface longer, providing extended comfort and relief all day or overnight.

Who Is Thealoz Duo Gel Suitable For?

Thealoz Duo Gel is suitable for adults, children (administered by a parent or caregiver), and pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Do not use Thealoz Duo Gel if you:

• Are allergic to trehalose, sodium hyaluronate, carbomer, or any listed ingredient
• Find the single-dose container is damaged

Speak to a healthcare professional before use if you:

• Notice your symptoms getting worse or if they do not improve
• Are using other eye medications (wait at least 15 minutes between products and use Thealoz Duo Gel last)

How to Use Thealoz Duo Gel

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before using the gel.
2. Take one single-use vial off the strip, turn it upside down, and gently tap until the gel moves down to the tip.
3. Open the vial by twisting the top tab off. Do not touch the tip with your fingers or any surface to avoid contamination.
4. Look up, gently pull your lower eyelid down, and squeeze one drop into the pocket of the eyelid.
5. Close the eye gently after application. Throw away the vial immediately, even if there is gel left inside.

If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before applying the gel and wait at least 30 minutes before replacing them.

Possible Side Effects of Thealoz Duo Gel

Common temporary side effects shortly after application:

• Blurred vision for a short time
• A mild burning or stinging sensation
• A temporary foreign body sensation in the eye

Rare side effects:

• Mild eye irritation or ocular redness

If you experience blurred vision, do not drive or operate machinery until your vision completely clears.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not inject or swallow the gel; it is strictly for ocular use.
• Do not touch the surface of your eye with the tip of the single-dose container.
• Do not reuse a single-use vial. Once opened, the contents are no longer protected from microbial contamination.
• Use Thealoz Duo Gel last if applying multiple eye treatments, waiting 15 minutes between applications.

Storage Instructions

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep unopened single-use vials in their original foil sachet to protect them from direct light.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Unopened vials can be used up to one month after first opening the foil sachet.
